New Cabin Fundraising Campaign
American Legion Community Post 375 in Mukwonago, Wisconsin is raising money to help fund the construction of a new duplex style cabin at Camp American Legion. We’ve set up this campaign with a goal of raising $50,000 to help pay for the new cabin.
For over 50 years, Post 375 has actively supported Camp American Legion through annual donations of money, supplies, equipment and volunteer services.
Post 375’s Sponsorship of Cabin #3 at Camp
For almost 30 years, Post 375 has sponsored Cabin #3 at Camp American Legion; providing regular maintenance, equipment, furniture and supplies for Cabin #3. Every spring, volunteers from American Legion Post 375, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 375, and Sons of the American Legion Squadron 375, have traveled to Camp to bring donated funds and supplies, and help prepare the opening of Camp and Cabin #3 for the upcoming season.
Need for Replacement of Cabins
Over the past several years, Cabin #3, along with the adjacent cabins, Cabins #1 and #2, were identified as being in need of replacement. Cabin #1, sponsored by American Legion Brillion Post 126 was the first to be removed.
Cabins Removed
In October, 2023, Cabin #3 sponsored by Post 375, and Cabin #2 sponsored by Little Chute Post 258, were removed. Since then, plans have been drawn up to replace the cabins with a new single-story, side-by-side, year-round, duplex style cabin. The new cabin, to be named “Esselman Cabin #123” will be co-sponsored by three American Legion Posts: Mukwonago Community Post 375, Little Chute Post 258, and Brillion Post 126.
Post 375 has pledged our continued support for Camp American Legion and to carry on our cabin sponsorship of the new Esselman Cabin #123. With your help, Post 375 will reach our goal and provide the needed funds to support this important project for Camp American Legion. Please help if you can. Every donation makes a difference!
New Esselman Cabin 3D View
In October 2023, Post 375’s long time sponsored Cabin #3 was demolished alongside Cabin #2 which was sponsored by Little Chute Post 258. The site where the old cabins stood is now being prepared so that construction of the new Esselman Cabin #123 can begin in early Spring 2024. The plan is to have the construction of the new cabin completed for the season opening in May 2024.
